Following repairs, the telescope is redeployed in its boosted orbit. To do this, the shuttle arm grasps the telescope, places it safely away from the shuttle, and releases it. The shuttle then gently pulls away and the refurbished Hubble Space Telescope is ready to begin to put its new components to work.
