How to use it in the classroom
Fast Facts: The Sun can be used alone to:
• Find information about the Sun.
Fast Facts: The Sun can be used with the tables of the eight planets and the Moon to:
• Recognize and order large numbers. Have students arrange the Sun, Moon, and planets from smallest to largest in mass and/or diameter.
• Calculate the gravitational force. Use Newton's law of gravitation, the masses, and distances between the Sun and a planet to determine the gravitational force between them (recommended for grades 10-12).
